Through the years, we've found there have been several stalwart pieces of equipment that we've come to know and love. Beyond that, we are constantly willing to try new equipment that comes out. For all of our NTSC work, we keep returning to the same two cameras and one editor:
| Sony PDX10 | It's a small camera, but it packs a lot in. The 16:9 aspect on it is unparalleled in anything but the most expensive cameras and the DVCAM format yields great footage. |
| Sony PD150 | Not enough can be said about this camera. It's proven to be the ally of both film students and video professionals. What it seems to have going for it over the PDX10 is that it's low light response is excellent and the lens is a bit finer for when you need to get in closer on a subject. |
| Adobe Premiere Pro | For our editing needs, we go somewhat against the grain here. While it's taken them some time to catch up with others they once had the lead over, Adobe really pulled everything together into a package that fits the needs of the current DV moviemaker. |
There are of course quite a few people who see to it that all the projects happen. Below are the core group that have been with Betafuse from the beginning:
| Michael Hudin | Having been in the film industry for about ten years, both in front of, behind, and after the camera, Michael heads up the Betafuse, being the primary director and writer for the projects. He feels that he has fused together his love and knowledge of computers and film into a unique blend of skills that you must have to be able to work in this rapidly changing industry. |
| Jenya Naryshkina | She has had a lot of experience moving projects along, keeping them on schedule, keeping eveyone happy and all the other items that a producer must be capable of. In addition to ready accounting and management skills, Jenya is also plying her hand at editing, directing, and acting as well. |
| Paul Kramer | Boasting a knowledge of film that exceeds most film critics, Paul is a writer, director, and general powerhouse in production. His intimacy with the film process counter Michael's computer and broad idea methods in a way that helps to create a strong and vibrant finished project. Paul is currently developing a feature-length horror film of his own, as well as lending his insight and talent to Betafuse projects. |
| Hus Lee Miller | He started in acting and has managed to branch himself out into the other areas of movie making, which include music, production, and casting. Los Angeles based and very much in the thick of it all, Hus Lee continues to push Betafuse projects forward and provide an ever steady push to get things done. |
